Who is Vincent?

Player talking with Vincent in Stardew Valley.
He has an interesting fascination with bugs.

He’s one of the youngest residents of Pelican town living at 1 Willow Lane with his family. Moreover, he appears to idolize his older brother and expressed that he would like to grow up just like him. Unlike his sibling, he’s not a suitable candidate for marriage.

Family and Relationships

Vincent lives with his older brother, Sam, and his mother, Jodi. His father, Kent shortly joins them in Year 2 once he returns from serving in the war. He’s also friends with Jas and Leo, whom he takes lessons with from Miss Penny in the Museum.

Gifts

To increase your friendship level with Vincent, you can hand him two gifts weekly and an extra one for his birthday. Moreover, he’s known to be picky with gifts, so you must be careful with what and when you’ll give them to him. Giving him a gift he likes or loves on the 10th Day of Spring, his birthday, grants you an 8x effect on the friendship points.

Heart Events

It’s wonderful to get along with Vincent!

After collecting eight friendship hearts with Vincent and Jas, visit Cindersnap Forest between 6 am and 5 pm on a sunny Spring day. Consequently, an event will take place where Vincent shows you how to remove insects to clean Spring onions. It allows you to obtain a Spring Onion Mastery, boosting the crop’s selling price by up to 5x.

In the same cutscene, he pronounces spring onion as “sp…spwing onion”. This implies that he can’t pronounce his R’s well. However, this is the only scene in the game where he seems to have problems with his speech.
