Catching Legendaries is possible in Stardew Valley with Iridium Rod. One of them is the Glacierfish – where to find it, and what can you do with it? We’ll teach you everything in this guide!
Winter is the most static among all seasons in Stardew Valley: you go outside and get extra firepower from the Mines or forage for seasonal items. It’s the most reliable and decent way for beginners since productive farming is impossible in the frost. What if it’s not dull at all?
There are Legendary fishes in-game, and they’re challenging to spot and catch. One of them is the Glacierfish. What is it, where’s the exact spot to cast the hook, and what can it do for you? We’ll answer everything in this guide.
What is a Glacierfish?
It’s one of many Legendary fishes in Stardew Valley, earning its reputation as the hardest-to-catch during Winter. In some gameplay, it might be more challenging than the Legend. However, it’s false since its difficulty is 100 (ten points behind Legend) and has a mixed behavior.
This legendary can grow from 26-28 inches.
Quality | Energy | Health |
Normal | +25 | +11 |
Silver | +35 | +15 |
Gold | +45 | +20 |
Iridium | +65 | +29 |
Although edible, consuming this marine creature doesn’t feel right because of the challenge and low health and energy restoration effects.
Where to Catch a Glacierfish?
Here’s the special location for catching the Glacierfish:
Location | Season | Time | Weather |
Cindersap Forest (Arrowhead Island) | • Winter | Any | Any |
Using a Magic Bait will let you have the rare catch anytime convenient. However, there are some criteria to consider:
- Level 6 Fishing either with natural or food buffs.
- The bobber must land on Fishing Zone 3 (approximately four tiles away from you).
- You’ll need to stand at the southernmost tip of Arrowhead Island.
- When bubbles are present, Fishing Zone 2 is acceptable.
Additional Tip: Curiosity Lure won’t affect the 50% hook chance. Preferable tackles include Trap Bobber (slower fish movement when not reeling in) or Cork Bobber (slight fishing bar extension). Moreover, bring some Seafoam Pudding (the best) and Lobster Bisque (alternative) to get better results.
Fish Pond
Since Stardew Valley classifies the fish as Legendary, it’s impossible to reproduce them.
