Lingcod: Catching, Fish Pond, and More

It’ll be tricky to find and catch Lingcod back in your inventory. However, we’ll teach you everything with this item guide and things you might consider doing with it.

The player holding a Lingcod in Stardew Valley.
One of the largest fish in-game.

Year 1, Winter 1 – the perfect season to milk extra profit from the icy water. Is your Fishing Rod enough? How about baits and tackles? That’s because you may encounter some fishes that are difficult to catch.

Lingcod is one of many types that’ll give you a hard time and a couple of tries to secure the catch. Let’s talk about the fish, where to catch them, and their uses. We’ll also include some valuable tips for capturing this aggressive eater!

What is a Lingcod?

This fearsome and hungry predator stalks fairly-sized bodies of water to munch on its smaller kinds. Its standard variant can reach 30 inches, while the biggest possible catch is at 51. Equip the Iridium Rod as you’ll need Trap Bobber (slower movement) and Cork Bobber (extended fishing bar) for your convenience.

Its behavior is mixed and scores 85 in difficulty.
