There are several ways how to get a dinosaur in Stardew Valley. Probably the easiest way is to forage some on the Prehistoric Floors of Skull Cavern. But first, you’ll have to get yourself a dinosaur egg.

Dinosaur Egg in Stardew Valley
There are various ways to get yourself this lizard. One way is to dig up some artifact spots in the Valley. You can also get them from Pepper Rex or the Movie Theater’s Crane Game. There are also instances where you’ll get one from picking up a treasure chest when you’re done fishing.
For artifact digging, you can try looking for The Mountains and the Quarry.
Once you have a dino egg, place it inside the Big Coop’s incubator. After several days, you’ll have a dinosaur that’ll be up and running in no time.
Each week, your dino friend will provide dinosaur eggs. You can either sell them or get more dinosaurs. It’s completely up to you. Also, if you put the eggs inside the incubator, the museum collection will be deemed complete.

Skull Cavern Dinosaur in Stardew Valley
If you’re wondering how to get a dinosaur egg, you must first reach the Skull Cavern’s Prehistoric Floors in Stardew Valley. This floor not only contains dinosaur eggs, but you’ll also encounter several monsters like the Mutant Flies (which drops Bait Meat) and Iridium Bats (Iridium Bar and more!).

To get yourself a delicious dinosaur egg mayonnaise, you will need to have at least a Mayonnaise Machine. It takes 3 hours to create a dinosaur egg mayo, but you can sell it for up to 1120 gold.
But dinosaur egg isn’t just about the mayonnaise. You can also give the dino egg to one of your romantic interests, specifically Penny. But other than her and the Dwarf, anyone will consider the egg an insult.
