Just like in real life all of the villagers in Stardew Valley have birthdays! Once a year each townsperson has a day dedicated to them. These birthdays are marked in the calendar found in front of Pierre’s General Store.
What to do on someone’s birthday?
When it is a villager’s birthday in Stardew Valley you can give them gifts for extra friendship points! Friendship points are the little hearts that appear next to a villager’s face on the menu screen. They show you your relationship level. You also get birthday-specific dialogue if you remember a villager’s special day!
What gifts should I give?
The type of gift you give changes the amount of friendship points you get. If the village likes the present, you get more points than if they hate it, pretty simple right! Each villager has a different set of preferences when it comes to gifts. For example, Shane loves hot peppers but hates quartz and Sebastian loves pumpkin soup but dislikes daffodil. If you want to guess it right on the first try you can find all the villager’s favorites here!
What are universally loved gifts?
These gifts are loved by everyone and are always a great choice! The universal loves are prismatic shard, rabbit’s foot, golden pumpkin, pearl, and magic rock candy. Unfortunately, these items can be hard to get. So, let’s look at each villager’s birthday and gift preferences!
