Stardew Valley George is a lovely old man who lives with his wife Evelyn in Pelican Town. You might encounter him in various ways. For example, his own grandfather was a farmer, so George is not opposed to giving you some (wanted or unwanted) advice about how you should run your farm!
George might seem a bit harsh, but you will see his sweet side once you get in a closer friendship with him and his friendly wife who is even in charge of all the town’s flowers. Evelyn has lived her whole life in Pelican Town, so, of course, players like to visit her for some nice conversations. Also, George’s grandson is Alex, so don’t forget that the next time you’re visiting this bachelor!
Let’s take a look at all the things you need to know about this old man in our favourite village:
Where Can You Find Stardew Valley George?
If you’re planning to meet George, you will have to know a little bit about his routine and his schedule.
Before we jump into the details, do keep in mind that George has some health issues, so he has to visit his doctors on the 23rd day of every season. Also, his wife Evelyn will be with him, so she will be away too.
Whenever it’s raining, George will be at home, watching his TV pretty much from 6.30 AM until he has to go to sleep at 8 PM, so you can definitely find him at home.
If it’s a Friday during the warmer days, then he will spend some time outside near a tree that is to the left of his house, so keep that in mind!
If it’s a Sunday, George will go to the Statue of Yoba near Pierre’s house at roughly 10 AM and he will be there until 2 PM. Yoba’s statue is a very interesting part of the town. It’s thought that it’s connected to earth or graves. George’s daughter Clara is dead, so it might be the reason why George visits the statue of Sundays.
Gifts for Stardew Valley George
Let’s take a look at what you should and what you shouldn’t gift to George if you want to be on his good side.
Good gifts for him
If you’re looking for some gifts that this villager will be happy about, then this is what you should look for:
- Fried mushroom
- Leek
- Daffodil
Bad gifts for him
Unless you want to receive such feedback as “That’s a terrible gift” or “This is probably the worst gift I’ve ever seen. Thanks a lot”, then stay away from these gifts:
- Salmonberry
- Wild horseradish
- Clay
- Dandelion
- Holly
- Quartz
The funny thing is that George might actually ask for you to bring him a quartz through a request at the Help Wanted board even though he absolutely hates it. This old man is an interesting NPC, what can we say.
Quests from Stardew Valley George
Just like most NPCs, George might come up with some quests for you where you will be able to receive amazing rewards.
Let’s take a look at some of them:
Knee Therapy
It’s not always clear why NPCs do certain things, but George will ask you to bring him a Hot Pepper during his Knee Therapy quest. It’s not exactly sure how it will help with his pain, but hey, keep in mind to bring him what he wants!
If you succeed, you will receive a friendship heart and 200 Gold as a reward. To be fair, it’s quite an easy and good task, so definitely give it some attention because it’s so worth it.
The Pirate’s Wife
This quest is a gift that just keeps on giving. It’s full of amazing aspects, and George is one of the NPCs who are involved.
Should you choose to do this quest, you will have to give George an Advanced TV Remote. If you finish this quest, you will receive a recipe for fairy dust and 5 golden walnuts as a reward.
However, keep in mind that this will take some time as you will need to deliver many items to various characters. Then again, this can still make the game more exciting!
George is a character with a very interesting past, so definitely don’t overlook him just because he might seem a bit angry sometimes! He’s had some problems in the past, but he can give you a lot of amazing advice for various matters.
