What is a Stardew Valley Chest?

If you are still new to the game of Stardew Valley, then the idea of having a chest (or a few of them!) could be a little bit confusing. The most important thing that you need to know is that this is a storage option that can hold all types of items for you. You can put up to 999 items of the same kind in it! Not that bad, right?

Also, keep in mind that this is one of the few items that cannot be sold for any amount of money. Meaning, this won’t be a good way to get some gold coins in the game.

Of course, if you are crafting this item, then the main purpose would be to hold all types of items and resources. There are way better ways to get gold in Stardew Valley!

Crafting a Chest in Stardew Valley

Did you know that you can even craft this item? Yes, that’s right!

You just need to have 50 wood to craft one and you can start putting your items right away.

Fun fact, you can choose from up to 20 colours to decide what how your chest should look like. For example, why not have a bright red or a lovely green chest?

They’re extremely useful in the game and definitely keep them in mind if you have too much wood in your inventory.

Should You Put Your Chest Outside the Farm?

This might be new information to you, but you can actually put some of your items outside the farm. The real question is, should you?

There is one big problem when it comes to putting your stuff outside the farm. It’s all good until one of the characters decides to walk through that area where you have put your crafted item. If they do it, then your item will be destroyed

That is why we wouldn’t recommend to put one of your chest somewhere outside the farm. You might want to put a lot of valuable items inside, and it would just be a shame to lose any of it.

How to Move Chests in Stardew Valley?

Have you noticed that it gets much more complicated to move a chest once there are items inside? That is the main reason why a lot of players are having problems with this.

Some players even think that it is completely impossible to move a chest, however, that is not true. Even though it seems that no tools can help you to fulfill this task, there is one simple way to move a chest in Stardew Valley.

First of all, you need to ensure that the chest is completely empty. that is when you can start moving the chest in the game. Once that is done, you can start whacking it and can even put it in your inventory to move it around the map. Sounds easy, right?

No matter which chest you want to move in the game, just make sure that it is empty first, and that will make everything so much easier for you.
