Did you find a gem with a bluish-green tone in it? You just got an Aquamarine! In this guide, you’ll learn everything you need to know about it.
The Mines is like your personal bank where you can scavenge for items to sell for a good price. Visiting this area means three things: you need a monster loot, a mineral, or some ingredients.
However, while searching for an exquisite and expensive mineral, you may have found an Aquamarine. How can you use it in Stardew Valley? This guide will help you learn about its uses in quests, tailoring, and more!
What’s an Aquamarine?
An Aquamarine is a mineral with a bluish-green tone. You can use it in the Forge to increase your melee weapon’s critical hit of your melee weapons by 4.6% x level.
Additionally, you can also go to Calico Desert and barter three of these gems for a piece of cloth with the Desert Trader every Wednesday.
Where to Get it?
You’ll acquire it from Aquamarine Nodes and Gem Nodes in The Mines upon reaching floors 40 and above. You can also find it by panning with a Copper Pan.
If you’re lucky, you might discover some of it from the Garbage Can once you get to the bottom of the Mines. You also have a 4% chance of finding a Treasure Chest with one to four pieces of it at Fishing Zone 3. But you need to reach Fishing level two and above to get it.
Selling
Vending an Aquamarine gives you 180g, but its value increases by 30% (234g) once you get a Gemologist Profession in Stardew Valley.
Recipe
This item is also an ingredient in making a Marble Brazier. Its recipe costs 5,000g, and you’ll obtain it when you learn the Skull Brazier Recipe from the Carpenter’s Shop. To craft it, you’ll need one Aquamarine, marble, and 100 pieces of stone.
Gifting
The Dwarf, Emily, and Clint find this gem as a lovely gift. While other NPCs would also appreciate receiving it. However, it’s an underappreciated gift for Pierre, Linus, and Leah.
Tailoring
You can make a shirt from it and some blue dyes for your pots.
Bundles
You can use an Aquamarine to complete:
- Dye Bundle on the Bulletin Board
- Treasure Hunter’s Bundle in the Boiler Room (Remixed)
Quests
It’s also helpful in accomplishing quests in Stardew Valley, such as:
- Randomly requested in the “Help Wanted” Board from Pierre’s General Store (asked once you reach Floor 40+ in the Mines).
- Reward: 540g and 150 friendship points.
- (2) Randomly requested by some ocean fish from Fish Pond quests.
- You can use it in the Gem Birds puzzle in Ginger Island.
