What Are the Seasons In Stardew Valley?
Similar to the seasons in the real world, there are four Seasons in Stardew Valley: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. These add up to make a year in the game. They have various characteristics, so you may need to adapt your decision-making to account for each seasonal change in the game!
When shifting to a new season, your crops will die unless they can also grow in the season after. To avoid this, you can use fertilizers to speed up plant growth before they wither. Another option is to plant them on Ginger Island or in the Greenhouse to ensure your crops survive the following period.
Your farm will experience a minor change every season and a significant change yearly (Winter to Spring). The only places unaffected by these changes will be the Desert, Ginger Island, and the indoor and underground zones. Furthermore, knowing the villagers’ routines at all times of the year is helpful if you wish to gain friendship points with them.
Each season lasts for 28 days before transitioning to a new one. Pierre’s General Store and JojaMart restock their seed selection depending on this factor. Hence, season-exclusive crops are only available to be farmed and bought within a specific time frame.
Here are the four seasons in Stardew Valley:
1. Spring
The game begins on the first day of Spring which makes it the first season of the year. During this time, greenery will be restored, and pink petals will occasionally float through the air. Logs, rocks, and patches of grass will also spawn on your farm.
