The game retains a lot of real-life rules including how to make certain products, so it’s no surprise that you can also make Stardew Valley mayo with eggs. But with the various kinds, sizes, and qualities of the eggs in-game, it can be confusing to keep track of which kinds result in different qualities of mayo. 

This article will tell you what to expect when you have a jar of this delicious spread in your inventory.

What is Mayonnaise?

It’s an artisan good made with eggs using the Mayonnaise Machine. Different kinds of eggs will result in different qualities or quantities. For example, Ostrich Eggs make ten jars in one go! 

As much as we’d love to eat it, it’s unfortunately inedible in the game. However, you can use it in recipes to get its restorative benefits and sell it for a price depending on its quality.

How to Get Mayonnaise?

Simply put any egg into the Mayonnaise Machine and wait for three hours to make this artisan good. The table below shows what kind of mayo different eggs make:

You can produce different qualities or quantities with different eggs.

Selling Prices

You can sell it for 190g per jar. This is just the price for a regular egg (in size and quality). You can sell it for 20% more with the Rancher Profession and 40% more with the Artisan Profession.

Tailoring

You can create a Light Blue Shirt with this product by using it in the spool of the Sewing Machine. It can also serve as a white dye.

Gifting

Nearly every Villager would like to receive it as a gift except for Caroline, but it would be a bad idea to give it to Jas, Sam, Sebastian, and Vincent.

Quests

It may be requested in Fish Pond quests by the following:

  • Blobfish. This quest occurs at a population of 3 and may require 1 jar.
  • Catfish. Expect this quest at a population of 7 and may require 1 jar.
  • Spook Fish. Start this quest at a population of 7. It may ask for 1 jar.
