Stardew Valley Character Guide: Penny

Stardew Penny is one of the most known NPCs in this game. She lives with her mom Pam in the trailer in Pelican Town, so you might be seeing her around the town quite often.

As a character, Penny is quite shy and modest, she tries her best, and she just wants to find a husband and move out. She’s quite a simple person, and many players truly appreciate that.

Speaking of marriage, she is one of the NPCs who can be married, so it might be very useful to learn more about her. This way, it’s easier to know if she is compatible with your character!

Stardew Penny’s Daily Schedule

When it comes to meeting her, you will need to know what she usually does with her time.

However, if it’s Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, then she will be at the museum. That’s where she tutors the younger kids of the village (Vincent and Jas). Of course, if it’s the summer time, then she won’t be doing that. Summer is the best time for going to the beach! If it’s a nice day, she might also take the kids to the playground in the town.

If she’s not doing something else or something unusual, she can be found near or in the trailer. If she’s not inside, then she will be cleaning outside.

Also, you will find her at the clinic if it’s the 4th of Winter. That’s when she has her yearly appointments.

Just like with most NPCs, she might just want to relax when it’s raining. If the weather is bad, she will be at home or at the museum.

Penny’s Friends and Family

As mentioned above, Stardew Penny lives with her mom Pam in their small trailer in the east part of the town. They have a rather simple life, and she is close with her mother.

When it comes to her friends, she cares a lot about Maru and Sam. Funny thing, it’s joked throughout the game that she might have a crush on Sam. For example, if you have an 8 heart event with Penny, then Vincent will say that “She’s not actually interested in Sam anymore”. Cute, right?

Also, she will attend the Flower Dance with him. Meaning, if you don’t ask either Sam or Penny to dance, they will dance together. They are very close friends, but it doesn’t matter that you shouldn’t ask either of them out.

She is also very friendly to the kids in the town. Once Leo moves into the main part of the city, she starts tutoring him too. Not just Jas and Vincent.

Gifts for Stardew Penny

Just like any other NPC, Penny likes and dislikes some items in the game. If you remember at least one item that she loves, then you have a good chance at improving your friendship (or even relationship!)

The Worst Gifts for Penny

However, there are some items you should keep as far away as possible from her. That includes:

Marrying Stardew Penny

Penny is one of the few characters you can actually marry in the game. Some might say that she is one of the most popular choices!

She will move into your farmhouse after the wedding and will have her own room.

You might even see her setting up a small garden that she will take care of. However, she won’t just spend all of her time at home. She will still continue working at the museum as a tutor for the town kids.

Penny is absolutely worth meeting at least a few times in the game! Just don’t forget her favourite gifts, and everything should be fine!
