Description Of The Crimsonfish
The Crimsonfish is a type of fish that is obtainable through Fishing. It is maroon with orange fins and tail. Moreover, it is one of the five legendary fishes in Stardew Valley, so it can only be caught once per save file (or once per player in multiplayer).
The Crimsonfish is mentioned in the lost book “Secrets of the Legendary Fish.” In this book, it’s said that lives in the warm ocean waters of summer and that it’s been sighted on the far eastern side of the beach.

Where to find the Crimsonfish
The Crimsonfish can be found on the Eastern side of the beach and on the East Pier. The beach region is in the southeast corner of the map. To reach this pier, you must repair the beach bridge next to Elliott’s Shack.
Repairing the bridge is relatively simple, only requiring three hundred wood if you repair it yourself. Alternatively, you can buy the second community upgrade from the Carpenter’s Shop.
Just the location alone is not enough, to catch the Crimsonfish you must fish with the bobber at least 4 tiles away from land in every direction. The only exception to this rule is if it lands in bubbles, where it can be one tile closer to land.
How To Catch The Crimsonfish
The Crimsonfish in Stardew Valley is not hard to catch, but it may be difficult to find it. It can only be found during the summer season, during all kinds of weather, and any time during the day.
Though, if you use magic bait, you can catch it at any season.
If you are in the right position on the beach, during the correct season, there is only an 18% chance of hooking the Crimsonfish so it’s important to reel it in the first time around. To maximize your chances of successfully reeling in the Crimsonfish, you should use the Iridium fishing pole, bait, and the trap bobber.
What can you do with The Crimsonfish
This fish is not found in any bundles, or quests, and no villagers like getting it as a gift. Demetrius, Elliot, Leo, Linus, Pam, Sebastian, and Willy are all neutral to receiving the Crimsonfish as a gift. Meanwhile, everyone else either dislikes it or hates it.
It can be crafted into three recipes: Maki Roll, Quality Fertilizer, and Sashimi. Though, all of these recipes can be crafted using any fish in the game; and both Sashimi and Maki Rolls sell for significantly less than the cost of just the actual fish.
The Crimsonfish can be used as red dye in the dye pots found inside Emily and Haley’s house.
It can be sold at a base price of 1500g, 1875g for the silver quality, and 2250g for the gold quality. The Crimsonfish can be caught in the size range of 19-21 inches. When consumed, you will receive a boost of 38 energy, and 17 health.
